12 Israeli soldiers Hurt in car-ramming Assault in Jerusalem

Twelve Israeli soldiers had been hurt, one seriously, at a car-ramming assault in Jerusalem on Thursday local time, the Israel Defense Forces said.

The soldiers had been marching alongside the channel as part of what it’s described as a military action once the attack happened, the IDF said.

The soldier who suffered severe injuries was taken into a hospital and another 11 were explained as being lightly hurt.

“IDF troops are pursuing the terrorist that escaped the scene,” the army said, describing the attacker for a Palestinian. The IDF said the badly injured soldier had been in severe illness.

The violence ancient Thursday occurred on precisely the same day the West Bank saw clashes where a 19-year-old merger was murdered, according to hospital officials.

Six other people were injured in the confrontation.

Israeli army spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus said the troops were carrying out the demolition of a house belonging to a militant allegedly involved with a fatal assault, and there was a”large riot” in the scene by Palestinians who threw Molotov cocktails in soldiers, that came under sniper fire, according to the news bureau.

Conricus said forces reacted to the violence with their sniper fire, saying a Palestinian shot was murdered. He couldn’t confirm if the 19-year-old was that the sniper.
