Two men opened fire in a pub in Kansas City, Kansas, early Sunday, killing four people and wounding five others at a shooting thought to have originated from a previous dispute, authorities said.
He explained the two men had become some disagreement with individuals inside Tequila KC Bar, left, then returned with handguns.
“We believe there was something which occurred in the pub earlier likely,” Tomasic mentioned.
“Regrettably, they left and chose to carry it to a different degree, came back and began shooting.” Approximately 40 people were within the little pub when gunfire erupted around 1.30 am, Tomasic said.
The gunfire sent people running for the leaves, with the wounded leaving trails of blood since they fled.
Among those injured was attempting to have a trip to the hospital once ambulances arrived.
“It is a fairly little bar, so if you’ve got just two guys to come in and start shooting, folks are only running, running everywhere they could,” Tomasic said.
All four guys who were murdered were, but Tomasic said police don’t think the shooting was racially motivated.
Tomasic cautioned that authorities were still investigating what occurred.
He explained they had been reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses while searching for the gunmen.
“Being a pub at 1:30, tales change a whole lot,” he explained.
One of the dead was just one guy in his late 50s, yet another in his mid-30s and two inside their mid-20s, authorities said.
Police didn’t immediately release their titles.
He said that his nephew left behind a 6-year-old kid along with a 4-year-old daughter.
