A three-meter (10-foot) shark attacked and murdered a 60-year-old Australian guy on Sunday while he was browsing at the north of New South Wales (NSW) nation, authorities said.
Many board-riders came to the help of the Queensland guy and fought off the shark before yanking him to coast in Salt Beach, near Kingscliff, some 800 kilometers (500 miles) north of Sydney.
“He had been left-handed first aid for acute injuries to his leg died at the scene,” police said in a statement.
Though shark-related deaths are rare in Australia, it’s listed lots of unprovoked shark experiences with individuals.
