Diego Maradona’s physician is under investigation for manslaughter four times following the soccer idol died of a heart attack in his house, Argentinean news agency Telam reported Sunday.
Police raided Leopoldo Luque’s workplace and residence on Sunday in search of signs of potential professional negligence, based on pictures broadcast on tv and judicial resources mentioned by the Argentinian agency.

The analysis was allegedly triggered by announcements from Maradona’s three brothers Dalma, Gianinna, and Jana concerning the way the former footballer’s heart disease has been treated.
Luque told reporters after the hunts he had given researchers each the recordings of his treatment for Maradona, in addition to computers, hard drives, and cellphones.
Weeping occasionally, he insisted that he defended his treatment of this troubling soccer celebrity, who died last Wednesday after a November 3 mind surgery.
“I understand what I did. I understand the way I did it…I’m sure that what I did the very best for Diego, the best I could,” Luque said.
He added he wasn’t Maradona’s primary doctor, but a part of a health team.
The Argentinian government declared an official three-day mourning period after the passing of Diego Maradona, who’s regarded by many to be the best footballer of all time.
His body lay in state as tens of thousands of fans queued from the Argentine capital Buenos Aires to get the opportunity to pay their respects.
