The unidentified man fired several rounds from what a few reports stated was a high-profile assault rifle.
“This morning at approximately 2:15 am, US Secret Service officers reacted to the Embassy of Cuba subsequent reports of shots fired,” that the Secret Service said in a statement.
“One person was detained for having an unregistered firearm in addition to unregistered ammunition, assault with the intent to kill, and ownership of a high ability feed apparatus.
“No accidents were reported in the scene”
Local press said the individual detained was a guy who fired about 30 rounds from an attack rifle-type weapon.
