Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro undergoes Evaluation for coronavirus

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has experienced a test for its new coronavirus following a top aide contracted the illness after a trip where met with Donald Trump, his son said Thursday.

“President Bolsonaro was analyzed for coronavirus and we’re awaiting the results. But he isn’t displaying any signs of this illness,” Eduardo Bolsonaro, a lawmaker, composed on Twitter.

The far-right leader’s evaluation results are expected Friday, Brazilian press reports stated.

Bolsonaro had sought to downplay the coronavirus outbreak, stating its seriousness was”overstated.” The news came following Bolsonaro’s communications leader, Fabio Wajngarten, tested positive for COVID-19 following a visit to the United States last weekend through which both men met together with the US president in his Florida hotel.

Weingarten was photographed status side-by-side by Trump.

However, Trump said that he was”not worried,” along with the White House said he didn’t require testing.

Trump and Vice President Mike Pence” had no interactions with the person,” Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said in a statement.

They”don’t need to be analyzed at this moment,” she said, describing that US authorities guidelines don’t recommend testing for individuals without symptoms.

Eduardo Bolsonaro, that accompanied his father to the United States, stated he had been undergoing testing too.

He’d stick to current protocols about the virus, his office said.
