Coronavirus: Worldwide Instances double to 2 million in under two weeks

The amount of verified worldwide instances handed 2 million on Wednesday, after doubling in under a couple of weeks.

Over 130,000 people have died because of COVID-19, although the number is probably higher because of underreported cases and analyzing gaps.

The US is the most affected nation on earth with over 600,000 cases and 25,000 deaths.

Amid mounting criticism within his response to the outbreak, Donald Trump lashed from the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Tuesday, saying it”failed in its fundamental obligation” concerning the COVID-19 pandemic and announced plans to stop US obligations.

The organization’s director-general said he regretted Trump’s conclusion and defended their job.

“Our dedication to public health, science as well as serving all of the people of the planet without favor or fear stays intact,” Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated in a media conference.

“Our mandate and mission would be to utilize all countries alike, without regard to the size of the populations or savings.
