Voicing her feelings and feelings on becoming the first Indian to win the BWF World Championships, ace shuttler PV Sindhu on Monday stated that she neglected to hold her tears back while watching the Indian flag move up in the place enclosing singing of the National anthem. Taking to Twitter, she stated, “that I couldn’t hold my tears back once I watched the Indian flag and noticed the National anthem playing. Words can not express my feelings about yesterday’s win in the World Championship.”
Sindhu defeated Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 at the forefront of the championship on Sunday to be the first Indian shuttler to win gold in the occasion.
The 24-year-old further said that she was preparing for so long and thanked her parents, trainers, and coach for success.
“was preparing for this for such a long time. Lastly, the delay ended.
