Okinawa prefectural officials stated they might say only a”couple dozen” cases were found lately because the US army asked that the specific amount not be published. The outbreaks occurred at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, which will be in the middle of a movement dispute, also Camp Hansen, Okinawan officials stated.
Local press, citing unnamed sources, said about 60 people were infected.

Local media reported the Okinawan meeting adopted a resolution on Friday protesting the US army’s lack of transparency regarding its outbreak on foundation, which local officials were contemplating demanding shutdowns of Futenma and Camp Hansen.
Okinawa has roughly 150 cases of this coronavirus. In all, Japan has approximately 21,000 cases and 1,000 deaths, together with Tokyo reporting over 200 new instances for a third consecutive day Saturday.
