Manchester City director Pep Guardiola has moved to calm fears that Kevin de Bruyne could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, stating the midfielder could go back to the squad for Sunday’s Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“It isn’t serious — now he couldn’t play but we will find for Sunday,” Guardiola told reporters on Tuesday.
“At this time I don’t understand. Perhaps he can when we have a risk but I believe after the global break he will be matched.”
De Bruyne has made a stunning start to the season with City, scoring two and supplying nine assists in nine looks across all contests.
After kindly’ trip to the Etihad Stadium, City have a two-week layoff to get a Global break before seeing Crystal Palace on Oct. 19.
