Having said goodbye to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Film (MCU), Robert Downey Jr has hitched the wagon to what resembles a different franchise, Dolittle. The first preview of this movie premiered on Sunday.
Following his wife’s death years back, Dr. John Dolittle (performed with Downey), a famed veterinary physician in Queen Victoria’s England, surrounds himself by critters and keeps to himself. But he’s got no option but to”embark on this dangerous journey” to conserve the young Queen of England. He sets sail in an epic experience to some mythical island seeking a treatment, relying upon his humor and courage because he strikes old adversaries and finds mythical monsters, reported Entertainment Weekly magazine.
On the way, he encounters a multitude of perils, such as a ferocious tiger that calls him dinner, backed up with his animal buddies — a gorilla, an ostrich and an octopus to list a couple.
The movie underwent several changes from the recent months in which the Universal Pictures renamed the film Dolittle in place of its first name, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. The date of this movie’s launch was also pushed ahead from April 12 this season to January 17, 2020.
A reimagining of the traditional story about a guy who could talk to animals, the Hugh Lofting stories discovered their very first cinematic broadcasting with the 1988 movie Dr. Dollitle starring Eddie Murphy.
Director Stephen Gaghan, better known for his darker movie Traffic, has helmed the job with Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Susan Downey, the movie’s producers. The film also has an ensemble star cast which includes Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen along with voice actors Tom Holland, Ralph Fiennes, Emma Thompson, Octavia Spencer, and Kumail Nanjiani.
On Sunday, the celebrity shared with the poster of the upcoming adventure dream. Even the tagline, reads, “He is simply not a public person,” which sets the tone to the movie’s theme.
