India’s fastest woman Dutee Chand, who had established a flutter after coming out from the open about her relationship, has stated she’s enthusiastic to join politics. “I’ve always wished to combine politics since youth. My family was involved in grassroots politics, together with my mum being the sarpanch of the own village,” tweeted Dutee.
“I will combine politics should I get an opportunity in the future. It was my dream to enter politics. My family was involved in politics for long. I’m just 23 and to reach the age of being an MLA or MP. Thus far no political party has provided me to combine them. When I get any deal, I shall surely think about.
She nevertheless made it very clear BJD was her celebration of choice. What Naveen Patnaik has done for sports quite a few politicians can perform. He’s organized international sports events and baseball championships in Bhubaneswar. In the same way, Achyuta Samanta has done a great deal for female students,” said Chand. Incidentally, she’d searched for Samanta from the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
Shortly after she announced her decision joining politics, a number of her followers counseled to concentrate on running rather than politics. But, Chand stated she isn’t much bothered about the criticism since there’ll always be individuals who’d be critical of her choice.
“However, I believe a good deal of my supporters would support my choice. If I combine politics, my goal is to develop sports and athletics infrastructure. There are lots of talented young women and men in villages that are withering away because of the lack of reinforcement. In politics I’d constantly make efforts to assist these youths,” she explained.
Now preparing for the World Championships on September 27 at Doha, Dutee early this season made a flutter when she declared that she’s been in a relationship with a girl from her village because of 2017.
She said she needed to create the relationship public following her husband, Saraswati Chand, plus a sportswoman was threatening her that she’d expose her connection.
If she unites politics, she’d be the next Odia sportsperson to combine politics.
