Epstein associate Billed for rape and sexual harassment in France

Jean-Luc Brunel, a former modeling representative and a member of the financier Jeffrey Epstein have been billed for raping minors over age 15 and also for sexual harassment, French prosecutors said in a statement on Saturday.

Brunel was detained on Wednesday in a Paris airport before boarding a plane to Senegal.

The arrest was part of a wider inquiry started in August 2019,” targeting sexual crimes likely to have been perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein and potential accomplices on French sufferers or French land,” prosecutors said.

Epstein often traveled to Paris and owed a lavish apartment on the prestigious Avenue Foch.

Brunel is supposed, among other matters, of”coordinating transportation and lodging of young women or young women on behalf of Jeffrey Epstein,” according to the announcement.

He’s regarded as a “helped witness” for offenses of”human trafficking of heterosexual victims for sexual abuse,” the announcement continued — under federal legislation, this means somebody is suspected of a crime without being billed for it.

Several former versions also have immediately accused Brunel of rape. “That is huge news. I shout with happiness,” said Dutch version Thysia Huisman on Thursday when she heard of the arrest.

His attorney Corinne Dreyfus-Schmidt couldn’t immediately be contacted for comments.

Epstein killed himself in prison whilst confronting sex trafficking charges.

His former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, stays behind bars till trial. She’s accused of recruiting women for the financier to abuse.
