Facebook Workers sign letter opposing Governmental Advertisements policy

Countless Facebook workers have signed a letter to CEO Mark Zuckerberg along with other executives saying that they oppose the social system’s coverage of allowing politicians lie in ads.

The New York Times reported Monday that over 250 employees have signed the letter advocating Facebook leaders to alter the policy which they say is a”hazard to the FB stands .” While that is a small portion of Facebook’s workforce of over 35,000, it is a rare showing of worker dissent generally more common of Google and Amazon.

Facebook spokeswoman Bertie Thomson claims that the firm appreciates its employees expressing their worries but also the company”remains committed to not censoring political speech”

The worker letter follows widespread criticism of Facebook’s advertising policy, such as from Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a top Democratic presidential candidate.
