Famous British drummer Ginger Baker, best known for his time with all the power trio Cream, has died at age 80.
Baker passed away peacefully in the hospital Sunday morning, his family said in a messaged submitted on Twitter.
They had said that Baker was seriously ill in hospital, without revealing the nature of his or her illness.
Baker wielded his blues energy and jazz method to help split open popular audio and eventually become among the world’s most honored and feared musicians.
Together with his blazing eyes, own orange-red hair and fiery character, Baker rated with Keith Moon of The Who as the embodiment of musical fury and uncontrollable nature.
