First Book coronavirus Event confirmed in Iceland

Iceland on Friday affirmed the new coronavirus had attained the subarctic island following a guy in his forties, who’d lately returned from a visit to northern Italy, tested positive for COVID-19.

The man was put in isolation in the National University Hospital of Iceland, following an evaluation supported the new coronavirus about 1 pm local time (1300 GMT), Iceland’s division of Civil Defense and Emergency Management said in a statement.

“The guy isn’t severely ill but reveals typical indicators of this COVID-19 disorder,” the government agency said in a statement.

The guy had lately visited northern Italy but was out of the specified threat areas, according to the agency.

Authorities explained that attempts were underway to follow the disease route of this virus, in addition to anybody exposed to it in the Icelandic individual.
