Google Doodle marks International Women’s Day 2020

An animated movie highlighting the accomplishments of women around the globe is that this year’s theme for Google’s International Women’s Day 2020 doodle.

The battle for gender equality and labor movements from this century and also the 1900s are portrayed through multi-colored layers from the movie that Google’s guest artists Julie Wilkinson and Joyanne Horscroft out of London have emphasized through a 3D-paper mandala cartoon.

The black-and-white coating in the first portion of the video highlights that the suffragette movement and movement in which women sought for equivalent rights in labor during the 1800s into the early-nineties.

The next area of the movie that’s a vibrant outer coating signifies the battle for gender equality and fight for changes to the status quo of girls during the 1990s to the current day.

The Google Doodle pays tribute to the constant struggle women have gone through and do as they wonder social norms and recover their own spaces.

Inspired by Zurich-based guest animators Marion Willam & Daphne Abderhalden from DRASTIC GmbH that the Google Doodle video observes the struggle for gender equality and heritage of equal rights for girls.
