The Bengaluru-based center will concentrate on advance basic computer science research in the nation. It is also going to aim to employ research to address problems and help construct an AI community in India.
Dr. Manish Gupta will direct the new job. Google stated it’ll work with various businesses, particularly academic institutions and investigators to drive Artificial Intelligence from the nation.
“Putting our technologies to work to aid men and women with the face of an emergency is something which we are enthusiastic about. With our partners in India, we’ll continue to put money into AI-powered flooding predictions,” said Yossi Matias, VP of Engineering at Google.
Earlier, Google disclosed it had connected 4,000 places under its Google Station platform. The business also partnered with BSNL to provide connectivity in cities across Gujarat, Bihar, and Maharashtra. Google also said that 1,200 YouTube founders with more than 1 million readers were using its solutions.
