The shooting of a protester in Hong Kong has indicated an escalation in the violence which has rocked the town for months, as pro-democracy activists clashed once more with authorities, now in daylight.
In 1 episode, footage from societal websites reveals a police officer drawing his gun, and shooting at a masked protester that had been advancing towards him. He’s in a vital condition in hospital.
Over 60 people were injured in the violence on Monday, and also the land’s chief executive Carrie Lam addressed at a regular appearance.
“The violence has surpassed the call for the demonstrators are the people’s enemy,” she announced.
“If there is no wishful thinking that by escalating violence, the Hong Kong… authorities will return to pressure, to fulfill the so-called political requirements, I am making this announcement loud and clear here: that won’t happen.”
