The Indian Coast Guard has seized a massive cache of ketamine medication worth Rs 300 crore in the Myanmarese boat, the bureau said on Saturday.
The Coast Guard, in a coordinated sea-air performance on Thursday, apprehended the boat off the Car Nicobar islands.
On the boat, 57 suspicious gunny bundles were located aboard, the Coast Guard stated.
The gunny bags were subsequently moved to Indian Coast Guard Ship Rajveer, which has apprehended the boat. In a joint evaluation by the Narcotics Control Bureau and the local authorities, it had been revealed that questionable substance from the gunny bags was ketamine, a psychotrophic material, also there were 1,160 bundles of 1 kg per value Rs 300 crore in the global marketplace, they stated.
