Italy will begin distributing free protective masks to nursing homes, a lot of which are ruined by coronavirus diseases and deaths.
Domenico Arcuri, the government’s commissioner for the pandemic, says doing this is a”gesture of solidarity and nearness and support to such areas ever more in the epicenter of the fantastic crisis.” Arcuri says free masks also will be distributed to police officers, transportation workers, and authorities. Millions of Italians will be permitted to return to offices starting on May 4, even when lockdown constraints will probably be substantially eased.
Italy, with a few 26,000 reported fatalities, the majority of these older individuals, has Europe’s greatest toll from COVID-19. In Lombardy, Italy’s most populous area, prosecutors are exploring about two dozen houses, such as one in Milan where some 200 inhabitants died.
