Jurgen Klopp demands Struggle as Liverpool Goal sweet 16 in Sheffield

Last updated on September 28, 2019

Liverpool director Jurgen Klopp said the secret to his side’s magnificent Premier League series of 15 straight wins wasn’t thinking the hype since he prepared for a visit to recently marketed Sheffield United on Saturday.

The European winners can move eight points clear on the peak of the table, at least for a couple of hours, using a 16th straight league win at Bramall Lane, however, Klopp is demanding the identical hunger, work speed and struggle out of his side since Chris Wilder’s Blades.

“We’re perhaps regarded as a top group but we do not wish to act as a top group, enjoying (like you ) when possible, yes but fighting in the manner of a challenger.

“I don’t believe there should be some benefit for Sheffield besides playing within their arena. Can it be allowed they fight over people? No. That they operate more than people? No. That they do over people? No.”

Sadio Mane was forced off with an accident at Stamford Bridge but was passed fit to begin, while goalkeeper Alisson Becker remains out despite returning to full training this past week.
