Kanye West says he will run for US president

Kanye West has expressed what seems to be his intention to run for president, which might see him move up against Donald Trump.

The US rapper tweeted July 4 because the US celebrated Independence Day stating: “We should now recognize the promise of America by expecting God, consolidating our eyesight and building our future. I’m running for president of the USA! #2020VISION”

This isn’t the first time West, 43, has stated he’d be making a bid for the White House — in the MTV Video Music Awards in 2015 he maintained he wanted to stand at the 2020 competition, but afterward said he’d run in 2024.

The artist’s spouse, Kim Kardashian West, retweeted the article having an emoji of this US flag.

Tesla and SpaceX entrepreneur Elon Musk additionally tweeted an endorsement, stating West had his”full service”.

The rapper, that has been an outspoken Trump supporter, didn’t say whether his presumed bidding could be connected to a political party.

In 2018, West wore a red”Make America Great Again” cap and hugged Trump, stating: “I like this man right here.”

With the election looming in November, West would need to operate as an independent candidate — the deadline to enroll as he’s already passed in certain significant nations but he’d still have the time to document in others.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether he’d submitted some of their official paperwork required to look on state election ballots.
