The death toll from the USA in the new coronavirus climbed to 11 on Wednesday, as lawmakers in Congress agreed to supply over $8 billion to combat the fast-spreading disease.

Among the Los Angeles cases concerns that a medical screener in the city’s international airport assessing overseas travelers for symptoms.
The Department of Homeland Security said the employee was below self-quarantine at home together with relatives and was demonstrating mild symptoms.
That individual’s final shift in the airport had been on February 21 and the symptoms started on February 29, an announcement said.
“DHS is pleased to report that this person was trained and did what right both on the project and if they started to feel ill,” the announcement said.
“We’re advised the person wore all of the proper protective gear and required necessary protections at work ” Nationwide, over 130 people have been infected, together with the virus found in over a dozen countries.

Two additional cases involved people who had come in touch with a relative who was the virus and the final was that the airport screener.
