Habitat For Humanity Receives Donation

Habitat for Humanity has more projects planned for the upcoming construction season. Thanks to a donation the organization has some new equipment to use. Oldcastle Materials owns Central Concrete and Southern Minnesota Construction. Today the company donated a used pick-up truck and a skid loader to Habitat for Humanity. The organization has built 70 homes in southern Minnesota already... and say they can really use the new equipment. Habitat for Humanity executive director Julie Schmillen says, "We're so grateful to get this equipment. There's a recession going on. We're building six homes this year. Our homes are costing us 100-thousand dollars, so to get equipment like this, a pick-up truck, a nice used pick-up truck as well as a skidster, truly is a blessing."Oldcastle Materials partners with Habitat for Humanity chapters across the United States.
