3,800 Pigs Die in Hog Confinement Vandalism

In Iowa: Authorities suspect vandals caused 38-hundred pigs to suffocate at a hog confinement operation near Hull in the northwest part of the state.The Sioux County sheriff's office says the owner of the operation called authorities on Friday to report the incident.The sheriff's office says the owner told authorities that sometime during the night the controls to the building's airflow system had been tampered with, causing the pigs to suffocate.The loss is expected to be more than $200,000 dollars.
