"Give to the Max" Day to Benefit Non-Profits

Minnesota charities and non-profits are getting a boost today.It's called "Give to the Max" day.People looking to donate to non-profit organizations in the state can go to Give-M-N-dot-org.The YWCA of Mankato is one of several in the area looking to benefit from the fundraiser.Executive director Anne Ganey says the effort is a response to the current economic environment.Ganey says, "We're looking at a considerable budget shortfall this year, and we aren't alone in that, but any help we can get is always appreciated."Ganey hopes members and supporters donate online because donations from the campaign will be matched up to 500-thousand dollars by The Saint Paul Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation, and Bush Foundation.Give to the Max day ends tomorrow at 8 am.
