MN Pilot Survives Plane Crash in China

A pilot from Minnesota survived a plane crash in China that left three Americans dead.Bill Johnson Senior was onboard the MD-11 cargo plane when it went down during take-off at Shanghai's Airport yesterday.The 61-year-old is now recovering at a hospital there. He has been upgraded from critical to serious condition.Johnson lives in Chanhassen,His family says they have even more to be grateful for this Thanksgiving holiday.Johnson was the chief pilot on the plane at the time of the crash.He was believed to be supervising two other pilots at the controls, one of which came to his rescue..."He was heroic and came back and pulled my dad literally out of a hole in the side of the cockpit. ""It's not how you expect to pass your ThanksgivingAccording to authorities, three other crew members were injured.
