Another Republican announces his candidacy for U.S. Congress in Minnesota's First District.Jim Hagedorn, a Blue Earth native, who grew up in Truman, is seeking the Republican endorsement to challenge Democrat Tim Walz.Hagedorn has worked in Washington as a member of the U.S. Treasury Department, and as a legislative assistant to a former congressman.Hagedorn says that he's not scared to point out mistakes that both Democrats and Republicans are making in Washington.Jim Hagedorn says, "I have a track record of doing right for the taxpayers, for standing up, cutting the size and scope of government. I'm one of the few who went to Washington and changed Washington, that city didn't change me. I came back the conservative I always was.Hagedorn's father Tom was a former congressman for Minnesota's second district from 1974 to 1983.
