Winter weather to blame for many things in the last couple of days...that includes the higher gas prices...Here's Emily Smith with today's money watch report.If you've noticed your flights have been arriving on time lately, it's more than luck.The transportation department says nearly 87 percent of November flights arrived on time setting a record. Hawaiian airlines did the best, followed by united and southwest. The government says airlines also did a better job of handling baggage, with fewer bags going missing or getting damaged. Those coming in last included Comair and air Tran.Prices at the gas pump have already surged pastLast year's highs, partly because of winter storms. In less than a month crude prices have jumped 20 percent, dragging gasoline prices to 15-month highs. Analysts predict by the weekend the average gas price will be 2-dollars and 70 cents.Toyota has struck pay dirt selling its priusHybrid. In Japan. The prius was the top-selling car in Japan last year. That's the first time a gas-electric hybrid has clinched thatSpot. Demand for the prius has also been strong in the U.S.And, there's a chance to own a piece of New York history next week.That's when New York City's famed Tavern on the green will auction off everything in theRestaurant.. From Tiffany glass chandeliers and paintings to silverware and china.The 75-year-old New York landmark filed for bankruptcy in September and shut its doors New Year's Day.
