Just days before delivering his first State of the Union, President Obama continues to refocus the white house agenda on jobs and the economy.Republicans say this is too little, too late.Fox's Jennifer Davis reports from Washington. In what amounts to a preview of his Wednesday State of the Union Address, President Barack Obama is announcing a series of initiatives aimed at helping middle class families, many of whom are still struggling in the current economic climate.Obama says: "creating good sustainable jobs is the single most important thing we can do to rebuild the middle class."The proposals, coming out of a middle class task forced headed by Vice President Joe Biden, include doubling the child care tax credit, capping student loan payments and expanding tax credits to match retirement savings. It's another sign the president is veering away from his healthcare message following the democrat's stunning loss in last week's Massachusetts special election.White house officials say this week, when the president addresses the nation, he will continue to focus on creating and saving jobs and addressing the deficit.Republicans are not impressed.Boehner says: "it's about time. But if you listen to what he's describing - his jobs package - it;s stimulus 2. It's more of the same old nonsense that will do nothing to get our economy moving again."Davis says: "it's a busy week for the president and he's had to take one thing off his plate. He was called for jury duty back home in Illinois, but the white house informed the court, he wouldn't be able to make it. In Washington, Jennifer Davis, Fox News."
