The President has given the Secretary of State the okay to miss his state of the union address tonight so she can discuss the terror threat from Yemen at an international conference. This comes amid word the U-S and Yemen are working closely on counter terrorism efforts. And a key house committee is taking a closer look into the alleged Christmas Day bombing attempt on a Detroit bound plane.Fox's Jennifer Davis has details from Washington.Meeting in london, the secretary of state and representatives from nearly two dozen world powers are talking terrorism - including the threat coming out of yemen in the wake of the christmas day bombing attempt on a detroit bound plane by a man allegedly trained in that country.Clinton says: "we are encouraged by the government of yemen's recent efforts to take action against al qaeda and against other extremist groups."And on capitol hill, state department and homeland security officials detailed mistakes made that allowed umar farouk abdulmutallab to even board flight 253.Leiter says: "what we didn't connect was the guy's name or where it would occur and that was our failure."A state department official acknowledged the nigerian man's name was misspelled in a terror alert sent out before the bombing attempt. The cable also didn't include the fact that abdulmutallab had a visa to enter the u-s.Holl lute says: "no one is satisfied that this person got on the plane. We are taking responsibility and it will never happen again."Several committee members expressed concern that homeland security secretary janet napolitano did not come to testify and the committee chair wondered why no one has lost their job over the security breach.Thompson says: "we understand the president took responsibility and that's good but the question in the minds of a lot of us is -- is that good enough."Davis says: (on cam fox news tag) "senior republicans have also sent a letter to the attorney general asking him to testify about questions they have about this suspected bomber and how the government has decided to try him. In washington, jennifer davis, fox news."
