Last week we honored a star hoopster from Truman and this week we headed to the pond to recognize a forward from LSH/Saint Peter.Brittany Pell has been outstanding this year for the bulldogs.News 12 sports Eric Gullickson tells us why she's our Scheel's All Sports Prep Athlete of the Week.Brittany Pell is exactly the kind of senior forward coaches around our region want on their team.The LSH/St Peter girl's hockey captain had 31 goals and 10 assists coming into the week.The defenseman turned forward had never been a big scorer before but says filling the net with pucks feels pretty darn good.Brittany has scored 7 goals in her teams last 3 games which were three consecutive victories for LSP.Pell and the Bulldogs topped New Ulm for the first time in her career on Monday to move into a tie for the South Central Conference lead.Her coach says Pell has made this year a special one.Pell and the Bulldogs have caught fire at the right time with sections starting next week.If Brittany keeps scoring goals and their keeper stopping everything, look out for LSH/St Peter in the tourney.Congratulations to Brittany Pell our Prep Athlete of the Week.In Le Sueur, Eric Gullickson, News 12 sports.
