Former State Senator Steve Kelley drops out of the race for governor.Kelley announced his withdrawal by e-mail Thursday.The Hopkins democrat finished behind seven other candidates in a straw poll of caucus participants.In 2006 Senator Kelly took the eventual democratic nominee to the wire at the state endorsing convention.
