Le Sueur County Sheriff Dave Gliszinski Retiring

Le Sueur County will have a new Sheriff as of February 26th.Sheriff Dave Gliszinski is retiring from his post after holding the position for the last 12 years.Gliszinski has been with the department for 32 years, and says it's time to go home and spend time with his family without having to worry about being called in.He says the one thing he will miss most is being out with the people.Sheriff Gliszinski says, "I really enjoyed serving the citizens of LeSueur County. I've got a staff that I'm very proud of. It's worked out well for me."Gliszinski says he will still participate with the LeSueur County Sheriff's Mounted Posse to raise money for youth in the county.Chief Deputy Tom Doherty has been appointed interim Sheriff until the election this fall.
