Waseca St. Patrick's Day Parade

Shamrocks were skipping down the streets of Waseca this afternoon for the forty second annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration. It's a festival tradition that rotates between the cities of Waseca and Janesville each year.Today close to thirty clans promoting their Irish heritage marched during the parade, although you didn't need to be Irish to take part in all the fun.Cletus Glynn says, "Well if it's like the last 25 to 30 years some of us will have too much fun...Everybody's just looking for a good day to get together especially the Irish... and those who wish they were Irish on this day."The parade began at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and ended at the American Legion.Activities wrapped up tonight with the crowning of Ms. St. Patrick and Ms. Irish Rose.
