HENDERSON, MINN. (AP) - Rising water has forced the closure of some highways in Minnesota.
On Tuesday morning, the Minnesota Department of Transportation closed State Highway 93 from the city of Henderson to U.S. Highway 169.
Tom Phillips is the Emergency Management director for Sibley County and the city of Henderson. He says water from the Rush River is running over the road at Highway 93.
The weather service said 16 roads in McLeod County were partially blocked due to high water. Many of the roads are in Brownton. MNDOT is also warning about the chance for flooding on MN Highway 22 between Mankato and St. Peter.
In northwestern Minnesota, part of U.S. Highway 75 is closed due to major flooding near Kent.
MNDOT says Minnesota Highway 200 near Ada is also closed due to flooding.
