In Mr. Food today... This East-meets-West homemade marinade will put us at the top of our game in the kitchen!By the end of the day, whether we've had a hectic commute home from work or we've just been busy running errands, we're rarely at the top of our game, yet we usually still need to fix dinner for our hungry gang. So here's a "keep the kitchen cool" skillet dish that starts with a make-ahead marinade that will get us back on track. Watch: In a bowl, we combine 1/2 cup each of soy sauce and lemon juice, 2 tablespoons ground ginger and 1 teaspoon minced garlic. Pour it over 4 pork loin chops that we placed in a 9" x 13" baking dish and give them a turn to coat completely. Then cover it and into the fridge it goes to let those flavors marry. Sure, we can do this a couple hours before we cook them or, yes, we can do it the night before, whatever works best for us. Then, right before you're ready to eat, cook them off in a skillet with some melted butter, about 5 to 6 or 7 minutes per side, until they're cooked through - and done! With the prepare-ahead option, along with an easy go-along like a salad or maybe veggies and some microwaveable rice, our cooking time is just minutes, yet we're the heroes with a meal that we can take pride in! For the recipe? It's online now, or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, marked "Asian Marinated Pork Chops," to me, Mr. Food, here at the station, for a tasty game plan that will have us at the top of our games, meaning that dinner is on the table without us breaking a sweat. Now that's "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!! (R) "
