President Donald Trump cancels Poland Trip to Cope with Hurricane Dorian

President Donald Trump on Thursday called off a visit to Poland Declared the 80th anniversary of the Nazi invasion to deal with Hurricane Dorian.

“Our greatest priority is the safety and security of the American people in the path of this storm,” he told reporters, saying Vice President Mike Pence would travel instead.

Before, a senior US official said the Polish government was expected to sign a deal with Washington on cooperation and security concerning 5G telecoms technology throughout the trip.

Trump was due to arrive at Warsaw early Sunday morning for ceremonies commemorating the 80th anniversary of the beginning of World War Two.
