Authorities are awaiting a toxicology report to see how much alcohol played a role in the drowning of 21-year-old Jenny Mae Kraling.
Nine local kids stole the show at today's Songs On The Lawn event. The band took a break from playing to allow the young entrepreneurs the chance to receive recognition for Lemonade Day. More than 500 kids participated in Lemonade Day events on June 5th, putting out over 200 stands.
Participants won awards for their business skills, the stand itself and of course the taste of their lemonade.
Winner Evan Cannata says, "We found cans and brought them in for money to pay for the stand."
Hope and Evan Cannata won first place for this lemonade stand.
This is the 3rd Songs On The Lawn Event with only two more to go. Songs On The Lawn is put on by Greater Mankato Growth from 11 to 1 each Thursday in June in front of the Intergovernmental Building and the Verizon Wireless Center.
