The empty stone pedestals that filled the Mankato city center are now filled with a new round of sculptures.
Lutheran Social Services held their third annual event to raise money for homeless youth in the Mankato area.
Strike Out Youth Homelessness happened Sunday at Victory Bowl in Mankato.
They had ten teams and raised around 15-hundred dollars for the Reach Center… a drop-in youth shelter that works with kids and young adults up to twenty-one years old who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
"We do this because it's a fun event and it's a great way to pull the community together and it just is a good cause," said Rachel Johnston with Lutheran Social Services.
The Reach opened in February of this year and so far has served about 170 kids and young adults.
It's the only facility of its type in southern Minnesota.
In previous years, this event helped other programs in Lutheran Social Services that helped homeless or at risk youth.
Organizers plan to hold another event in the spring.
