Allen Quist announcing his candidacy for the first congressional district against Mike Parry and Congressman Tim Walz.

Quist officially began his campaign Thursday, but as we've previously reported, he's been exploring the idea for a while.

He's hoping he can convince members of the Republican party to sign a pledge to fix the budget among other things.

Quist also spoke heavily Friday morning about immigration as well as government bailouts for corporations.
