Posted: Updated:

The Habitat for Humanity South Central received a large donation from the Bremer Bank Foundation. Bremer Bank presented them a check for $75,000. Habitat for Humanity is working on a half million dollar expansion for their "Re–store" which sells new and gently used products to the public at a fraction the cost. Bremer Bank President, Brad Peters says, "Since we opened our bank last September we have given over $1.4 million to the community. So this again will be something we will want to continue to do as we have our bank in Mankato." Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity, Julie Schmillen says, "To get $75,000 seed money to launch a capital campaign, to begin expansion of our restore, this is big, this is exciting. Habitat from Humanity staff says they are hoping to collect all the funds they need by this summer in order for the expansion project to get started this fall.
