Reports have been coming in from Brown County Residents about a phone call scam. One report describes a call where residents are told they won the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes. Police say scams
Authorities also say a lot of the time these individuals are looking for information involving identity theft.
A Mankato teen is on her way to stardom. A big enough accomplishment for a viewing party in North Mankato Wednesday night.
Shelby Tweten, a senior at Mankato West, sung her heart out on American Idol. She sang Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood.
Despite nerves of steel, Shelby tells us there was some drama just before her big moment.
"I forgot the words, the producer said it would be ok. And the words just came to me. I was lucky, that would have been really embarrassing," American Idol Contestant Shelby Tweten says.
As for what's next for Miss Tweten, be sure to watch her next performance. Shelby managed to bring tears to J–Lo's eyes on her way to Hollywood.
