MANKATO, Minn -

More than 7,200 babies in Minnesota will be born premature this year, and Taco John's is working with the March of Dimes to change this.

Area Taco John's Stores Raised $3,000 for the charity through their Nachos Navidad sales.

The money will help with the Annual March for Babies at the end of April.

March of Dimes Division Director Barb Dorn says, "The March of Dimes is all about celebrating babies that are born healthy, and honoring babies that have passed and fighting for solutions for babies that are born prematurely or with birth defects."

The general manager for a Mankato Taco John's says, "It is near and dear to my heart because I have twins that were born premature, they were born 12 weeks premature and they are now 8, and they are healthy 8 year olds."

This is the fourth year Taco John's has partnered with the March of Dimes, raising a total of $12,000.
