Reports have been coming in from Brown County Residents about a phone call scam. One report describes a call where residents are told they won the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes. Police say scams
Authorities also say a lot of the time these individuals are looking for information involving identity theft.
Mankato -
MSU students majoring in construction management rubbed elbows with potential employers on Thursday.
The 'Built Environment and Construction Conference' involved dozens of exhibitors showcasing their companies to hundreds of students. Contractors were also demonstrating new technology as well as ways to go green.
Organizers say the event provides a great way for college students to get on the radar of prospective employers.
"People are excited," said organizer Brian Wasserman. "The exhibitors are here talking with people they get to network with."
Spokespeople say 40 exhibitors were on hand at Thursday's conference.
