Reports have been coming in from Brown County Residents about a phone call scam. One report describes a call where residents are told they won the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes. Police say scams
Authorities also say a lot of the time these individuals are looking for information involving identity theft.
TRUMAN, MN -
Authorities now identifying the victim in a fatal accident on Highway 15 in Truman yesterday afternoon. Minnesota State Patrol says 55 year old Virginia Murphey of Truman died after her vehicle was struck on the driver's side and pushed into a tree. The driver and a passenger in that other car received non–life threatening injuries. They are identified as 93 year old Sylvan Behrens and 90 year old Beatrice Behrens...both of Truman. That accident remains under investigation.
