WASECA, Minn. -

It's being called the winter that wasn't in Waseca.
The 62nd Sleigh and Cutter winter festival has had a hard time due to the warm temps but it's not stopping them from taking on their biggest project ever.

You're looking at blocks of ice that will soon be a horse.
This years ice sculpture will be the largest one in the festival's history.
The artists have ties to Waseca but live elsewhere. Both say they're excited be a part of it.

Sculptor Adam Scholljegerdes says, "It's another art form that is interesting and fun. I love the winter it's just another something to do at winter time."

Sculptor Joe Christenson says, "It's fun to do something for any community, really. That's why I started doing it in St. Paul and that's why it's so exciting to do here, because people get excited for this."

The horse and sleigh Ice sculpture is expected to be finished Saturday morning just in time for the winter festival parade.
In the meantime, you can watch as they work right across from the Waseca county courthouse.
