Kyle Bauman's height makes him a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court.
Bauman says, "I've always been the tallest one in the grade and the school, so I guess I knew I was going to get pretty tall."
His skill and love for the game, makes him unstoppable.
Bauman says, "I guess the role for me is scorer and rebounder and just a overall leader on the floor. I mean it's my senior year. I'm supposed to do that."
With a height of six foot eight, the United South Central Senior has recorded a double-double in nearly every game this season averaging twenty points and sixteen rebounds.
Bauman is filling the entire stat sheet, as he also leads his team in assists, steals, and blocks.
Stevermer says, "He leads us in about five different categories so it's no secret, he's the key here, he's been playing really well and been kind of our leader in a lot of different ways."
Stevermer recognized Bauman's talent at an early age and knew he wanted Bauman on the varsity team right away as a Freshman.
Stevermer says, "I've been here for a while and seen Kyle progress since elementary age all the way up now as a senior.
New line, "It's just been exciting to see him kind of grow and see our team kind of get better as he's gone through."
The Rebels improved their overall record to 14-5 with the win over Blooming Prairie last Friday, and Bauman leading the charge once again.
That's why he's our KEYC Scheel's All-Sports Boys Prep Athlete of the Week.
