Valentines day is just a few days away and if you haven't gotten your someone special a gift there may be a free one available for you here in Mankato.

Blue Earth Nicollet County Human Society is giving away free cats. It's all part of their priceless cats series. The adoption event will be on Valentines day, February 14 and February 16 between 1 and 5:30 pm.

Many of these cats have been waiting for a good home for over a year and hopes are the waived adoption fee will help them find it.

Susan Schlosser says, "So many people want the kittens and you know, but these cats they're just sweet. They're just friendly, they're just older that's all."

Every cat comes spayed or neutered and has up to date shots. Prospective owners will still be screened so if you're interested be prepared to prove you can afford the animal's needs, like food, shelter, veterinary bills and be a caring owner.
